This is a general fanbook focused on Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin!All types of fanwork are welcome- traditional and digital art, writing such as fanfiction or meta, cosplay, photography, etc. NO AI. FAQs
➢ What is a fanbook?A fanbook (also often referred to as a “zine”) is a collaborative anthology by fans featuring art, short stories, and merchandise such as charms, stickers or small art prints. The books are sold above production price, with profits usually donated to a charity.These books are selective, with a set number of writers and artists allowed in. An application is posted for anyone interested to sign up to make art, fan fiction or merchandise. The applications are reviewed by the moderators of the book and acceptances and rejections are sent out by email.If chosen to participate, there is a schedule with the deadline and periodic ‘check ins’. The check-ins are a reminder of the due date where participants confirm that they are working on their piece, and can post pictures or text of the work in progress.
➢ Will this be a physical or digital book? Is it for profit or non-profit?The book will be available digitally and physically with merch such as charms and stickers. Proceeds from the book after production will be donated to a charity which will be voted on by contributors.
➢ How will communication for the fanbook take place?Communication and reminders of deadlines will be sent via discord or email. The discord channel will contain the schedule, check in channels and other resources including art references for the game and chatting with other fans!If you choose to communicate via email you will receive a welcome email with your assignment, templates, and the schedule. You will also receive check in emails for work progress. You may reply to them with your work progress or final submission at any time. If you choose to exclusively communicate via email in your application, you may also opt in to the discord at any time.
➢ Are non-English applications accepted?Yes! Non-English speaking applicants are welcome. If you speak Japanese, Jai is available to translate so please ask if you have any questions! You can choose to communicate by email in the application and if you are accepted, you will be sent a welcome email with the deadlines and template files. If the deadlines for any check-ins conflict with other comic events, an alternate date will be provided. The check-ins are simply to see some ideas for what you want to make.
➢ Will the book ship anywhere in the world?
Yes! When the book is complete, international shipping options will be available.
➢ How will contributors be compensated?All contributors will receive a complimentary digital and physical copy of the fanbook for participating; merch artists will receive a complimentary copy of their respective merch. Shipping cost must be covered by contributors. Merchandise and extra fanbooks will be purchasable by contributors as well at production cost.Contributors will have to give their address and legal/recognized name to the moderators in order to receive their zine, but can opt out if they do not want to share this information.
➢ What are the specifications for fanwork in the book?NO AI; use of generative AI tools in art or writing will result in an automatic rejection of your application or removal from the project.Illustrations should be a portrait size 6 x 9 and account for bleed- upon acceptance into the project, we will supply you with a template to use. We are looking for interesting compositions! Please don't draw or submit a simple character bust against a plain background.Traditional art and photography must fit the template provided for illustrations and be clean high resolution scans at 600 DPI or higher.Writing fanfiction/meta should be about 4-6 pages, drafted and edited to a publishable quality. We are looking for a length between 1000-2000 words fitting the 6 x 9 template, 10pt font, single spaced.
➢ What type(s) of merchandise are going to be featured?

➢ What content is acceptable? Are pairings okay?Please try to keep violence at the level of the game, blood/audaciously exploding monsters into crystals is all good.The game isn’t focused on romance, but feel free to explore any subtext that you see as long as it is kept SFW. (Yes, you can write or draw Jack and Astos. Or Jack and Sarah, etc. Follow your heart.)Obviously, Jack is the main character, but we would like to have a fair distribution of fanwork for the whole gang!

進行状況確認用のメールも配信いたします。

提出される日本語のコンテンツをファンブックの出版のため英語に翻訳させていただきます。
コミック等の画像ベースの作品用の場合、英文を取り扱うには必要に応じて各参加者と相談いたします。

日本語 FAQs
➢ ファンブックとは？
「ファンブック」（または「ジーン」」は、ファンたちに作られるアートワーク、SS、そしてはがきやキーホルダ等の小物のグッズの選集です。販売する時、制作費より価格が少し上がり、利益がチャリティーに寄贈されることが基本。
参加するクリエイター数の限界があり、ファンブックの幹事は参加者を応募の方から選びます。誰でも応募できる募集フォームがあり、幹事は全ての申し込みを確認した上、承諾または拒否の通知が配信されます。
承諾の場合、提出スケジュールや「チェックイン」の連絡が基本的にメールで配信されます。チェックインの連絡には、参加者の進行のWIP等、完成の作品を提出等をいつでも返事できます。
➢ 英語がうまくできないですが応募してもいいですか？
大歓迎です！日本語の場合、翻訳管理者のジャイは作品翻訳や日本語での連絡を担当しています。ご質問がある方ご遠慮なく！承諾の場合、歓迎の連絡、詳細、テンプレート等を日本語で連絡いたします。もし締め切りやチェックインの日付がイベント等の締め切りと被る場合、スケジュールに合わせて対応いたします。チェックインの目的は、作品の進行や状況を確認するためだけです。
➢ このファンブックは書籍かデジタル？そして営利目的か非営利目的？
書籍版もデジタル版も、そしてステッカー等のグッズセットも販売する予定です。売上を使い制作費を支払ってから、余っている利益は参加者の投票により指定される慈善団体に寄付されます。
➢ 書籍版は国際発送ですか？
その通りです！国際発送方法にも対応します。

➢ 参加者との連絡はどのように行いますか？
Discordまたはメールを通じて連絡や締め切りの情報を配信させていただきます。Discordの連絡を選ぶ場合、サーバーにはタイムライン、チェックイン、そしてアートレファランスやファンとのチャットを含めその他のリソースを共有いたします。
メールの連絡を選ぶ場合、詳細、テンプレート、スケジュール等を含める歓迎メールを配信いたします。進行状況確認用のメールも配信いたします。締め切りまでご自由に進行の状況または完成作品をそのメールの返事として提出できます。応募時にメールのみの連絡をお選びの方は、どんなタイミングでもDiscordの連絡も指定できます。
➢ 参加者への報酬はどうなりますか?
参加者の全員には、書籍版を1冊とデジタル版を無料でもらいます。グッズのクリエイターには、商品も1個無料でもらいます。送料は参加者の責任となりますのであらかじめご了承ください。1冊以上の書籍版、または1個以上のグッズを購入希望の参加者は、コストで購入可能です。
参加者用の無料商品の発送のため、参加者は住所および正式名称/公認名称を管理者と共有することが必要となります。共有したくない場合、無料書籍版または無料グッズの出荷が不可能となるのであらかじめご了承ください。
➢ ファンブックの作品の詳細について教えてください。
AI作品は禁止となります。アートワークやSS制作にAI使用が発見されれば拒否させていただきます。あらかじめご了承ください。イラストの場合、塗り足しを含め縦6x9インチ（約15x23cm）となります。正式的にプロジェクトの参加者となる時、テンプレートをお渡しします。クリエイティブな構成を目指しております。無地の背景にシンプルなキャラクター肖像画の提出を避けていただきます。実物のアートワークや写真の場合、必ずお渡しするテンプレートをお使いください。600DPI以上の高解像度の画像をご提出ください。SSや作文を含めの文章ベースの作品の場合、4〜6ページで、構成と編集が出版可能なレベルまで完了を目指しております。英文では1000〜2000ワードカウントで、縦6x9インチ（約15x23cm）テンプレートに合わせる10ポイントのフォント、シングルスペースでご提出ください。和文といえば、提出時の翻訳前は〜3000文字となります。フォントやスペースですが、翻訳時英文用のフォーマットに変更させていただきます。
➢ どんなグッズを販売しますか？
制作する予定のグッズは下記です。
3インチのアクリルキーホルダー/ストラップ （約76mm）
5.5 x 8.5インチのアートプリント （約A5サイズ）
5 x 7インチのステッカーシート （約127 x 178mm）
➢ 作品に含めることが可能なコンテンツに制限はありますか? カップルのコンテンツは？
暴力の場合、原作と同じレベルまで制限されています。例えば、血やモンスターを倒して水晶の爆発等はOKです。原作にはロマンスが得にありませんでしたが、全年齢ならロマンスなどのテーマ、そして何の成年カップルでもOKです。もちろん主人公のジャックの作品も歓迎ですが、色んなキャラクターが含まれている作品が理想的です！
